We Need Your Help!

The live event industry was one of the very first to close and will be one of the last to reopen. The economic impact on those who work in this field and those who are associated with it has been devastating. The entertainment industry contributes over $1 trillion annually to the economy.

I have worked in this industry all of my adult life and have been fortunate to run the WPAC since it opened. The chain of people involved in live events is long and complex. All of them are part of a grand machine that works as one to provide an amazing experience to an audience. I’m not just talking about performers, designers, and stagehands. I’m talking about everyone who works at a venue- custodians, ushers, parking attendants, vendors, box office, etc. This group extends outside the venue to the community- restaurants, bars, hotels, coffee shops, etc. All of these people and places make up the web of what an audience gets to experience when they go to a show. All of them are financially suffering now. We are asking for help. You can find out more at wemakeevents.org. If you would like to write to your representatives in Congress and let them know how much you value what we do you can do so here.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
